Cedar Chest Memories helps individuals preserve the history of their ancestry and link their lives to future generations through the sharing of their personal history. Guiding you or your loved one through this sometimes-overwhelming process, Cedar Chest Memories captures accounts of your special life moments, family stories, and inner thoughts. We combine your treasured memories with photographs to highlight the journey and provide you with a lovely heirloom book that will be cherished for generations to come.
A simple process, customized for you
We begin the development of your personal history with a short 30-minute consultation to get acquainted and outline your project. Whether you want to cover your entire life or choose to include only specific topics or special events, it is totally up to you. During our meeting, we will discuss photos to include and make suggestions to enhance your story.
To gather input, we will visit with you in your home, or remotely via computer or phone. During our conversations, we will be sure to ask questions to help you recall interesting details and get the most from the sessions. Our interviews typically run about two hours per visit, but can be longer or shorter to suit your needs.
Once we've gathered the special memories and thoughts you want to share, we will prepare a written manuscript for you to review. A professional layout, with photographs, will be sent to you prior to printing.
Your personal story, captured in a beautifully bound heirloom book, will be delivered to you to enjoy and share with your family, friends, and future generations. It's that simple!
